Ayurveda is “the study of life" and sister science to yoga, It encompasses lifestyle, foods, yoga, breathing practices, herbs, acupressure, self-care treatments, and aromatherapy. Ayurveda helpes one understand and support their true, inherent body/mind type.

In this 3-week course, you’ll learn to create a life rooted in wellness, by applying basic Ayurvedic principles to daily life. This course, an adventure into discovering your body-mind patterns, will help you navigate job, relationships, seasonal changes, and life’s unknowns with more clarity and ease. Thus, moving towards your life goals and heart’s dreams with more clarity, ease, and JOY.

This self-care empowerment course is for anyone curious about holistic well-Being, navigating life’s detours, or who wants to weave Ayurvedic self-care tips into daily routines. It covers the basics, and is perfect trailhead to delve deeper into Kellen’s other Ayurvedic specialized courses.

Course Outline

Sessions 1 & 2: Introduction to Ayurveda. Learn Ayurveda’s origins, principles, and why it’s considered an insightful, holistic wellness system that focuses on prevention and longevity. Gain knowledge about Ayurveda’s three body/mind types, and discover more about yourself – gifts and the quirks. Understand how the five Universal elements (space, air, fire, water earth) relate to the three doshas- Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Discover how elements, doshas, and 20 Universal qualities relate to seasons, weather, foods, times of day, and stages of life. And more importantly…you and your wellbeing, mental traits, stress triggers, and personal relationships.

Sessions 3: Yoga and Ayurveda. Woven together, these sister sciences enhance life on and beyond the mat. In stress responses, at job, and in family dynamics. Experience Ayurvedic principles and benefits through asana and breath. You’ll discover how the five elements show up and affect your body and mind. Learn poses and breathing practices to balance doshas (vata, pitta, kapha) and its main vital organ and system. Get basic tips to create a personal, seasonal yoga home practice for wellbeing in body and mind.
