In honor of today’s tip PAMPER, I am indulging in the comfort of doing less and relaxing more.
I am lavishing myself with loads of TLC and wrapping myself in a big ole comfort cocoon today.
A caterpillar makes a cocoon to protect him while he grows and changes into a butterfly. He rests and relaxes in a safe and cozy place, recharging his energy after months of BIG time growth. For example, a monarch butterfly will grow up to 100 times their size during the caterpillar stage.
I am currently experiencing such a growth cycle in my career and personal life. Last week I started a new part-time job where I can learn more about supporting the nervous system. And more writing opportunities have come my way. Also, this #40DaysOfSelfCare is my first “socials campaign”, so for the past 17 days I’ve been on a steep learning curve. I now need to slow down and go into a mini cocoon stage.
It’s time to do less and relax more. Starting with this blog post. It’s going to be short and sweet. Because my body is telling me I need to post up in my sweet cozatorium early tonight. (note: I am writing this Monday evening).
Nowadays, instead of a cup of tea or pack of Good & Plenty, I am all about the good and plenty of pampering!
My Tuesday mini cocoon getaway consists of: a morning Abhyanga massage before a hot shower, breakfast in my courtyard, nap at the beach, a salon pedicure, and some restorative yoga before bed. During the pedicure, I will journal, silently chant a positive affirmation on my mala beads, and then listen to some Patty Griffin on my iPod.
Here’s to indulging in the elements of comfort and cozy today!
