Tip #27 of our #40DaysOfSelfCare adventure is PAMPER. It’s Friday - a perfect day to slow down and create a bliss haven for yourself.
As I shared earlier, I began a new part-time job almost two weeks ago. So the time I have to do my usual tasks of shopping, cooking, housekeeping, and tending to my personal business has lessened. Even after deleting things off my “to do” list, I’ve caught myself rushing around.
Tonight (I am writing this post the night before y’all read it), my body gently told me my current life pace was about to break the stress limit.
To avoid getting pulled over and taken down by anxiety or worse yet, a summer cold, I quickly changed course and made a very important decision. I’m choosing to make this post a little shorter, so I can slow down, become still, and pamper myself. Right now, the number one priority for myself is to create a sweet little bliss haven of a home spa to rejuvenate my body, mind, and soul.
Becoming quiet and still invokes a spirit of presence, recharges the body, and reignites the creative fires.
Reflect on your current pace and volume of work. Are you breaking the sounds of silence barrier? Do you feel scattered or spacey? If so, it’s time to get quiet and nestle into a bliss haven.
Here’s to more hush and less rush!
Today’s Self-Care Adventure: Create a bliss haven home spa. First, enjoy a Epsom salt and lavender bath. Dim the lights so as to rest the eyes. After bath, don your favorite cozy attire, roll out yoga mat, and do legs up the wall pose for 3-5 minutes. Then make a cup of hot cocoa, sprinkled with nutmeg (a natural sleep inducer) and dolloped with whipped cream. Nestle into your favorite chair and enjoy the hush.
