Happy Solstice, y’all!
On this festive and communal day of celebrating sunlight, our self-care adventure begins! Solstice is an auspicious time to stoke the fires of health and awaken the light of creativity.
In summertime the living IS easy…especially when health and happiness flow throughout every aspect of your life! Much like the sun is the source of all life in our Universe; self-care is the source of all health and happiness in each individual’s life.
When it comes to creating a life of longevity, vitality, and creativity, I'm talking about the kind of self-care that goes beyond kickboxing classes, yoga sessions, and green smoothies.
What has most impacted my personal health and happiness in powerful and beautiful ways has been the consistent, simple, and small acts of daily self-care…done with appreciation and love for my body, mind, and soul.
Over the next 40 days, the self-care tips I share will support health and well-being in your body and mind. You’ll learn ways to improve digestion, gently detox, and support blissful sleep, among other things.
Also, it’s my desire and goal for each of you to experience a greater sense of connection with yourself. Today’s Self-Care Adventure Trail: Create a cozy, quiet moment in your favorite chair or outside spot. Close eyes and breathe through the nose. Direct breath into your heart space. For 3-5 minutes, take deep, slow and steady breaths. Exhale: Clouds of doubt and fear. Inhale: Sunlight in the form of the places, people, music, and activities that cause your heart to glow.
